Redskins sign first-round pick Williams Ashburn, VA (Sports Network) - The Washington Redskins have signed their first-round draft pick, offensive tackle Trent Williams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Washington Post reports it to be worth $60 million over six years with more than $37.5 million guaranteed. Williams was selected with the fourth overall pick of April's draft after a stellar collegiate career at Oklahoma and, as of Friday morning, is the highest first-round pick to agree to a contract. The 6-foot-5 native of Texas was an All-American and a First-Team All-Big 12 choice as a senior in 2009. He is expected to take over the left tackle slot in the wake of Chris Samuels' retirement. 07/30 08:33:21 ET |
