Jets place McKnight on active non-football injury list Florham Park, NJ (Sports Network) - The New York Jets placed running back and 2010 draft pick Joe McKnight on the active non-football injury list Thursday after he failed a conditioning test. McKnight, who was taken by the Jets in the fourth round out of Southern California, apparently battled cramping and dehydration during the Jets' rookie minicamp. He will not be able to practice with the team until he passes that test, but will still be part of the 80-man roster for the start of training camp in Cortland, New York. In addition, the Jets placed quarterback Erik Ainge on the reserve/non- football injury list with an undisclosed illness, signed safety Emanuel Cook and released linebacker Ezra Butler. 07/29 21:57:39 ET |
